The regulative basis for your M. Sc. Metallurgical Engineering study at RWTH is defined in the Examination Rules (“Prüfungsordnung, PO”).The rules are divided into two parts

• General Examination Rules (“Übergeordnete Prüfungsordnung, ÜPO”) that define the boundary conditions for all M. Sc. study majors at RWTH, and
• Specific Examination Rules (“Studiengangsspezifische Prüfungsordnung, SPO”) that contain detailed rules for the pecific study major.

Examination Rules are official legal documents that may be found on the RWTH web under Official Announcements (Amtliche Bekanntmachungen). For your convenience we translate the respective current versions of the Specific Examination Rules to English and offer them for download on the department´s webpage (www.MuW.rwth-aachen.de). Please note:

• There will be a delay in translation everytime a new version of the Specific Examination Rules is created.
• The German version is theonly version that is legally binding, the English translation is just for information.
